We are looking to meet with motivated, established, and energetic individuals to join our successful branch. This opportunity is available in Bristol, Connecticut.

Job responsibilities include:

  • The Mortgage Loan Originator will maintain and develop relationships with realtors, builders, attorneys, accountants, financial planners, and/or other third party referral partners
  • The Mortgage Loan Originator must have the ability to complete a detailed mortgage application collecting all pertinent information and documentation from each client
  • The Mortgage Loan Originator will analyze the loan to ensure proper structuring
  • The Mortgage Loan Originator will be responsible for staying up to date on all applicable changes to the loan products we provide, with training provided by Residential Home Funding
  • The Mortgage Loan Originator must be diligent in returning phone calls to any client or referral partner
  • The Mortgage Loan Originator must promote a total team attitude

Education, and License Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Individual state loan originator license required for specific states in which employee engages in any mortgage loan origination activity

Experience:

  • One year minimum in the industry, or a very strong referral network already built up that can convert into the mortgage business

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

  • Ability to analyze tax returns, pay stubs, credit report and property type to properly structure the loan
  • Able to set goals and work efficiently within certain timelines
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of products including word, and outlook, and Encompass 360
  • Ability to multi task
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good math skills being able to use a loan calculator
